FAQ

Q: WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF THE THUNDERBOLT PUTTER?

The ThunderBolt putter allows golfers to adjust the weight, center of gravity, and forgiveness of the putter in a matter of minutes.  The adjustments can be made in a matter of minutes.  Golfers need not purchase multiple putters as the ThunderBolt putter can be configured to perform like a blade or mallet putter.

Q: WHAT ARE THE PARTS IN THE BACK OF THE PUTTER?

The parts in the back of the ThunderBolt putter are weights that can be slide towards the front (toe) or rear (heel) of the putter head.  Or the weights can be slid off the putter and flipped over to change the forgiveness (MOI)  of the putter.  Moving the weights will change the center of gravity with the weights are held in place with screws that can be loosened to slide the weights, then held in place by tightening the weights.

Q: DO I HAVE TO USE THE WEIGHTS?

No, you do not have to use the weights.  The ThunderBolt putter is basically a blade style of putter that can be used on its own.

Q: ARE THE REAR WEIGHTS REMOVABLE?

Yes, the rear weights can be removed by loosening and removing the screws.  The weights can then be slid off the putter and reversed.

Q: HOW ARE THE REAR WEIGHTS ADJUSTED?

The rear weights can be adjusted by loosening the screws and then sliding the weights to a new position.

Q; HOW CAN THE THUNDERBOLT PUTTER HELP ME?

Current putters offer limited, or no, adjustability.  Golfers must adjust their putting stroke to accommodate the physical characteristics of a given putter.  However, the ThunderBolt putter is fully adjustable to allow the putter to fit into a golfer's specific body mechanics.  With the ThunderBolt putter, you can use your body's natural putting stroke.  You no longer have to focus on how you hit the ball.  Instead, you focus on the distance and trajectory to the hole knowing and the ThunderBolt putter will accommodate your body's natural putting path.

Q: CAN I ADJUST THE WEIGHTS DURING MY ROUND OF GOLF?

You cannot change the weight positions or adjustments when playing in a tournament.  The weights must be adjusted prior to play and then not changed during the round.  Likewise, we do not recommend you change or adjust the weights if your golf score is used in calculating your handicap.

However, for a practice round of golf where the score does not count for an official purpose, it may be beneficial to adjust the weights to learn how their position impacts your play.  This can provide useful insight into fine tuning your ThunderBolt putter.

Q: IS THE THUNDERBOLT PUTTER USGA COMPLIANT

The ThunderBolt putter complies with2019 USGA equipment rules.  However, the ThunderBolt putter has not yet been officially certified by the USGA.

Q: HOW DO YOU CARE FOR THE PUTTER

Use a damp cloth and/or a soft bristle brush to clean off any dirt or debris.  Do not use chemicals or strong cleaners.
